Cowles Mountain

Cowles Mountain (pronounced "coals") is located in San Carlos, San Diego. This is a good trail for a quick hike and for work out purposes. Dogs are allowed but must kept on leash. It's extremely crowded on the weekends, but the trail is well-traveled and maintained. It's hard to find parking (even side-street). There are many hikers, joggers, and runners on the trail all the time. The trail begin a steep climb toward the peak of Cowles Mountain. And some are increase their distance with the goal of touching the plaque on the rock at the top. Cowles Mountain hiking trail is one of the most popular in the area, with a 360 degree view from the top.
