Cowles Mountain (pronounced "coals") is located in San Carlos, San Diego. This is a good trail for a quick hike and for work out purposes. Dogs are allowed but must kept on leash. It's extremely crowded on the weekends, but the trail is well-traveled and maintained. It's hard to find parking (even side-street).
